GILGIT,(APP): Work on the Optical Fiber Project of China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) has been started in Khunjrab area.
The task of the project is to lay 820 km long cable and will be completed in 18 months. Under this project fiber optical cable will be laid between Rawalpindi and Khunjrab and the task has been given to Special Communication Organization (SCO). Total cost of this project is $ 44 million and it will become another high speed international connection to cater the rapidly growing internet traffic needs of Pakistan. SCO’s spokesperson told APP that in second phase work on Rawalpindi to Gwadar optical fiber will be initiated. Mir Alam a local, said that Pak China Optical Fiber has much
