China’s Investment In Belt And Road Countries Increases Up To 38.6 percent

Beijing : China’s investment in Belt and Road Initiative countries has increased to 38.6 percent year on year as the country’s outbound direct investment (ODI) has reached an all time high in 2015.

Investment in Belt and Road countries is at 18.93 billion U.S. dollars and represents about 13 percent of the country’s ODI last year. China’s ODI has reached an all time high of 145.67 billion US dollars in 2015 which exceeds the foreign direct investment of 135.6 billion it received.

The Belt and Road Initiative had increased business cooperation. 4,000 engineering contracts have already been signed by the Chinese companies in 61 countries on the route due to which the contract value is now 69.82 billion U.S. dollars.
