Talking to the media during a ceremony held under auspices of Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists (Dastoor) at local Press Club, he said that he had written in one of his book, about 18 years ago, that Russia and China would join Pakistan in an effort to bring economic prosperity in the region.
Initially, India would oppose the CPEC but later on, it would be part of the mega project too, he added. Javed Hashmi observed that politicians always delivered and quoted examples of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, Benazir Bhutto, and Muhammad Nawaz Sharif for their contribution towards atomic Pakistan, Missiles programme and CPEC, respectively.
He further said that he always extended help to Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, whenever he was faced with difficult circumstances. He added the on-going accountability of Nawaz Sharif would rendered good addition into vote bank of Pakistan Muslim League-N.
To a question about any chance of imposition of martial law, Javed Hashmi said that politicians, dictators and others had been exposed before the masses. Now, there would be politics of principles only and masses would not accept any extra-constitutional steps. D
emocracy is of vital importance to run country, maintained Hashmi. To another question about expected alliance of different political parties under leadership of Pervez Musharraf, he said that dictators had not roots among masses and they always rejected dictators whenever they tried to enter into politics.
