Punjab Governor Malik Muhammad Rafique Rajwana Friday said the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project would not only benefit Pakistan but other countries as well.
He was addressing the luncheon ceremony, held at Governor’s House in honour of under-training armed forces officers of the National Security and War Course at National Defence University.
He said proper implementation of the National Action Plan (NAP) had resulted in establishment of peaceful atmosphere and also helped in yielding positive results in different sectors. He said the incumbent government was utilising all resources to deal with the challenges. Rafique Rajwana said hefty funds had been allocated for solving different problems and to provide better living facilities to the people and added that mega projects had been started to bring the people of south Punjab at par with the other areas.
He said the best Kisan Relief Package had been announced for farmers and now fertilizers, seeds and pesticides were available to farmers at low prices.
He said such unprecedented steps would not only yield positive results in agriculture sector but also increase the industrial activity. The governor asked the armed forces officers of other
countries to highlight real image of Pakistan in their country on their return, and also tell their people that Pakistan is a peaceful country.
