ISLAMABAD, Jan 4 (APP): Folk singer of Balochistan province Liaqat Ali Baloch on Thursday appreciated China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) Cultural Caravan project for showcasing the rich cultural diversity of two friendly countries.
Talking to APP, he said that through the artistic interaction, the cultural showcasing would also help in recognizing the commonalities and differences between cultures of both countries.
The young folk singer from Darra Bollan of Balochistan province said that Cultural Caravan not only infused the spirit of patriotism among the people but also provided an opportunity to the folk artists to perform in various parts of the country with renowned Chinese artists.
Liaqat Ali Baloch is planning to perform in Islamabad and would soon participate in the musical show to entertain the people of the capital city.
The musicians not only documented local folk music during cultural caravan but also performed at different places and interact with local musicians. He said that people across Pakistan love to listen to famous Balochi songs, adding that he travelled by Azadi Train and got big applause from the audience in a number of major cities of the country.
Liaqat Ali Baloch said that Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA) always provided opportunities to the new singers from across the country.
