Foreign Journalists Praise CPEC

Beijing: Various media personnel from praised the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) saying that the project had huge benefits for the people of the entire region. In a debate at the media conference it was said that CPEC had a strong connectivity plan which linked the regional countries to the road, rail and sea. The project was a pilot project of the initiative hence its success would be ensured. A tribute was also paid to the Chinese and Pakistani leadership for their vision towards a better future.

The conference was hosted by the People’s Daily which attracted participants of 212 media institutions from 101 countries. Pakistan’s media representatives told the media about CPEC implementation process which would lead to the socio-economic development of the country. Chinese President Xi Jinping called on the media organizations from different countries to play positive role in promoting the Belt and Road initiative.  A congratulations message was given to the Media Cooperation Forum on the Belt and Road and that the forum will serve as a platform for media institutions from all over the world to engage in dialogue, exchange and practical cooperation.

The Belt and Road is the and the 21st century which would connect Asia with Europe and Africa. A senior official of Communist Party of China (CPC) Liu Yunshan said that, “Media organizations can enhance cooperation through personnel exchanges and sharing news products to increase understanding of people in countries along the routes” and that, “Media organizations can work jointly to create a sound environment for building a green, healthy, intelligent and peaceful Silk Road.”
