Islamabad: Finance Minister Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar has urged the French industrialists, businessmen and investors to invest in Pakistan while addressing in Paris on MEDEF.
MEDEF is a forum of French businessmen and enterprises having 800, 000 members across France. The minister said that the investment climate in Pakistan is conducive to European investment.
He said that, “The population of 200 million offers business friendly opportunities to Foreign Firms”.
“Pakistan offers business investment package which no other country from the region has offered”, he said.
The finance minister said Pakistan’s strategic location makes it an attractive destination for foreign investment. Pakistan’s growth rath is 4.7% which is better than the growth achieved in the last eight years.
“The French companies should take full benefit of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project which will link Pakistan with Afghanistan, CARs and Europe”, he added.
“There has been an unparalleled investment in North Waziristan despite security fears”. He also said that Karachi is opening up for various investment opportunities for foreign investment including France.
