India Urged To Stop Gross HR Violations In Kashmir, Give Right Of Self -Determination To Kashmiris

LONDON, Feb 06 (APP):Speakers, including Members of Parliament (MPs), here called upon India to immediately stop atrocities and violations being committed by its occupation forces on innocent people of , who were struggling for their birthright to the self-determination in accordance with the United Nations resolutions.

To express solidarity with the people of Indian occupied Kashmir, on Kashmir Solidarity Day, the Pakistani and Kashmiri community in United Kingdon (UK) had gathered on Monday night and assured their complete support to their right to self-determination. A seminar was organized at Pakistan High Commission London to mark the day.

The Seminar was attended among others by Deputy High Commissioner of Pakistan to London Zahid Hafeez Chaudhry, Members of UK Parliament Muhammad Yasin, Naz Shah, Imran Hussain, Jack Brereton, Afzal Khan, Zahid A Manzoor and Lord Qurban.

A large number of Pakistanis, including those from the Kashmiri community in the UK, assembled in the premises of the Portcullis House in the Willson room here and showed solidarity with their Kashmiri brethren and condemned the human rights violations being committed by Indian occupation forces in occupied Kashmir.

In his remarks, Deputy High Commissioner of Pakistan to London Zahid Hafeez Chaudhry strongly condemned the atrocities being perpetrated on innocent Kashmiri people who have been demanding their birthright to self-determination from India.

He reiterated Pakistan’s unflinching moral, political and diplomatic support to people of Indian occupied Kashmir till realization of their birthright to self-determination under UN security council resolutions on Kashmir.

He on the occasion said that UN security council resolution on Kashmir was still valid and called upon UN Security Country and the international community to play their vital role in the implementation of the peaceful resolution on Kashmir issue in order to ensure lasting peace not only in the region but in the entire world.

The other speakers also called upon India to comply with UN Resolution on Kashmir for durable peace in South Asia, urging it to withdraw its troops from Kashmir.

They also called upon India to immediately stop atrocities, gross human rights violations, and genocide of innocent people of occupied Kashmir to quell their birthright to self-determination and ensure UN-sponsored free and fair plebiscite to decide them their future according to their wishes.

The Kashmiri community in UK, in their speeches, called upon the UK Parliament and the government to deny the visa to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to UK as he was involved in the killings of minorities and human rights violations including Kashmiris in occupied Kashmir.

They also urged India to allow fact-finding missions to Indian occupied Kashmir to access the human rights situation there.

The speakers also vowed to highlight Kashmir cause and plight of Kashmiri people of Indian occupied Kashmir at international fora till the achievement of their birthright to self-determination and freedom from Indian subjugation.

Afzal Khan, Raja Ahmed Khan, Muhammad Yaseen, Ejaz Ahmed Siddique ,Lord Qurban Hussain, Sumaira Shahid Raja, Shahid Hassan, Naheeda Jalal, Aftab Chaudhry, Sardar Ikhlaq Chaudhry Azeem, also spoke on the occasion.
