KPK Government To Directly Contact China If Grievances Not Addressed On Western Route
Timergara: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Finance Muzafar Said the provincial government had reservations over the attitude of the federal government on the western route of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
While talking to delegations from Swat, Dir Lower, Dir Upper and Chitral he said that the provincial government would directly contact the government of China if the prime minister failed to remove their concerns about CPEC.

The minister said that parliamentary committee of Jamaat-i-Islami would meet the party’s chief Sirajul Haq, KP Chief Minister Pervez Khattak and federal ministers to discuss the western route of CPEC.
He said that the western route was the shortest one to Gwadar and its construction would provide the people of Balochistan, Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa with opportunities to boost their economy.
It was added that, “If the interests of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are ignored in CPEC, we will directly contact the government of China about our reservations and complaints.” He added that they would not hesitate to hold an all-party conference in Peshawar on the issue.
Muzafar said that the prime minister should remove the grievances of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to avoid any confrontation by them.
