LAHORE, (APP):Inspector General Police Punjab, Capt (R) Arif Nawaz Khan has directed the CCPO Lahore, all RPOs and DPOs to visit CPEC projects in their respective districts with special protection unit officers and to revisit the security plan of Chinese experts and investors working in Pakistan. He issued the directions while addressing a video link RPOs and DPOs conference at central police office here on Monday regarding the security of CPEC projects and Chinese citizens.
The IGP also directed that the security of all Worship places including mosques, imam bargahs and churches and A category educational institutions in particular institutions running co-education system made more strict and effective. He also directed that search, combing and Intelligence based operations should be carried out in the vicinities of A category educational institutions and religious worship places throughout the Punjab with the help of CTD for the arrest of terrorists, their facilitators and hardened criminals, A category Educational institutions and religious worship places in Punjab.
Giving directions to RPOs and DPOs, the IGP said that they should personally visit CPEC Projects working in their districts after every fortnight and inspect the security of the projects and Chinese citizens. He also said that a daily report regarding combing, search and intelligence based operations be sent to PSO to IGP on regular basis. Directing the Police Officers regarding the arrest of hardened and desperate A category Proclaimed offenders, he said that RPOs should personally monitor this campaign and a weekly verified report be sent to AIG monitoring by RPOs.
The IGP said that process of preparation of A and B category list of officers regarding the posting of circle officers and SHOs made more and more transparent and it should be ensured that no competent and eligible police officers be victimized for any difference and personal grudge.
He said that DPOs should personally supervise the process of these lists and the lists will be finalized after discussion with the RPOs. The IGP said that he would personally monitor these lists and if found any irregularity the responsibility would be fixed against the responsible. He further said that police force welfare projects should be monitored through welfare eye software and every effort towards the resolution of problems of martyrs families would be appreciated at every level. Additional IGs, DIGs and other senior police officers attended the conference.
