Shahbaz Sharif Meets with Chinese Delegation To Discuss Orange Line Metro

A delegation of Chinese companies China Railway and NORINCO working on Orange Line Metro Train project met Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif here on Wednesday. During the meeting, progress of civil works on Lahore Orange Line Metro Train Project was discussed. The Chinese delegation expressed satisfaction over progress made on civil works of the project and assured completion of Lahore Orange Line Metro Train project within stipulated period.

Speaking on the occasion, members of the delegation said that the project was being speedily implemented with the help of Punjab government. They said that Lahore Orange Line Metro Train project would be unprecedented as compared to the projects set up by China in other countries. Talking to the delegation, the Chief Minister said that Lahore Orange Line Metro Train project was an unprecedented gift of Pak-China friendship, love and sincerity. He said that Chinese President, Prime Minister and government had given this gift to the people of Pakistan especially Lahore. High standard work was being carried out on civil works of the project, he maintained. He further said that Lahore Orange Line Metro Train project would be a masterpiece of architecture, transparency and high standard and would prove to be a game changer for providing modern, speedy and affordable transport facilities of international standard to the common man. People of Pakistan would never forget this great gift of China, he added. Shehbaz Sharif said that no effort would be spared for the execution of this splendid project of common man in the stipulated period.
